Why Choose The S8000 System?

The S8000 system delivers exceptional performance and value through advanced engineering and meticulous craftsmanship:

Outstanding Thermal & Acoustic Insulation

The system’s 3 inch installation depth and multi-chamber design create a thermal barrier that reduces heat transfer, keeping your home comfortable year-round while lowering energy costs.

Economical & Efficient

The S8000 system’s optimized profile geometry maximizes material efficiency without compromising structural integrity or performance, resulting in a cost-effective solution that doesn’t sacrifice quality.

Design Freedom

The generously sized main chambers accommodate robust steel reinforcements, ensuring exceptional structural stability for large windows. This enables architects and builders to realize ambitious designs with confidence.

Versatility in Design & Finish

Whether you prefer a modern flush design or a classic semi-flush aesthetic, the S8000 system offers flexible options to match your vision. Plus, choose from a wide range of colors, and wood grain foils for the perfect finish.

S8000 Details

GEALAN S8000
The S8000 IQ profile system demonstrates GEALAN’s consistent focus on the needs of the market. The development objective for this system with rebate gaskets and an installation depth of 74 mm was to create a cost-effective profile with optimum use of materials, for easier and more efficient fabrication by window manufacturers.

• Made with PVC Gealan S8000 IQ profiles, 6 chambers of insulation
• PVC profiles width: 74 mm (construction depth)
• Exterior wall thickness of PVC profiles ≥ 2.8mm
• Classic design (straight)
• Up to 46 mm glass with STV® for thermal insulation (Ug between 0,5 and 1,1 W/m2K) and increased acoustic insulation
• Basement heat transfer coefficient Uf = 1,1 W/m2K
• Window heat transfer coefficient Uw between 0,77 and 1,1 W/m2K (depending on the glazing)
• U-Factor: 0.22
• Solar Heat Gain Coefficient: 0.24
• Visible Transmittance: 0.48
• Air Leakage: <0.2
• Sound Transmission Class (STC): 30 – 32
• Outdoor/Indoor Transmission Class (OITC): 26 – 28
• Maco hardware with micro ventilation and mishandling device, adjustable on 3 directions
• Galvanized steel reinforcement: 1.5 mm – 2mm
• Compatible with the automatic ventilation system GECCO (Gealan Clima Control)

Category: Window Frame
Manufacturer: GEALAN Fenster-Systeme GmbH,
Product name: Certification S8000
This certificate was awarded based on the following
criteria for the warm climate zone:

Comfort
UW = 1.20 ≤ 1.20 W/(m2 K)
UW, installed ≤ 1.25 W/(m2 K)
with Ug = 1.10 W/(m2 K)

Description
PVC frame with PU foam (IKD® , 0.026 W/(mK)) insulated chamber. Additional EPS-insulation, 0.034 W/(mK) at the bottom profile. Frame 8001 with reinforcement 8716, bottom frame extension 7202 IKD, sash 8095 IKD with STV, mullion 8038 with reinforcement 8716, mullion 8080 with reinforcement 8701.
Pane thickness: 26 mm (4/18/4//), rebate depth: 17 mm, spacer: SWISSPACER Ultimate.

Explanation
The window U-values were calculated for the test window size of 1.23 m × 1.48 m with Ug = 1.10 W/(m2 K).
If a higher quality glazing is used, the window U-values will improve as follows:

Transparent building components are classified into efficiency classes depending on the heat losses through the opaque part. The frame U-Values, frame widths, thermal bridges at the glazing edge, and the glazing edge lengths are included in these heat losses.
The Passive House Institute has defined international component criteria for seven climate zones. In principle, components which have been certified for climate zones with higher requirements may also be used in climates with less stringent requirements. In a particular climate zone it may make sense to use a component of a higher thermal quality which has been certified for a climate zone with more stringent requirements.
Further information relating to certification can be found on www.passivehouse.com and passipedia.org.
